Hi, I'm Chris Best, founder of Best Mold Dog.

At Best Mold Dog, we know firsthand how stressful and overwhelming mold exposure can be. After experiencing mold-related concerns within our own family, we began researching answers, solutions, and safer ways to detect hidden mold in homes and workplaces. That journey ultimately led us to Birdie.

Birdie was professionally trained at the renowned Florida Canine Academy under Master Trainer Bill Whitstine, a respected pioneer in canine scent detection. With an extraordinary sense of smell capable of detecting mold at concentrations as low as one part per trillion, mold detection dogs can locate hidden mold that often goes unnoticed behind walls, under flooring, inside HVAC systems, and other hard-to-find areas.

Our goal is to provide a non-invasive, accurate, and medically safe approach to mold detection while helping families gain clarity and peace of mind in their environments.

In addition to our personal experience, I bring a background in physical therapy and wellness, giving us a deeper understanding of how environmental factors can impact overall health and quality of life. We are passionate about helping others uncover hidden issues, better understand their environments, and take the next steps toward healthier living spaces.

Based in San Diego and serving surrounding communities, we are also available to travel nationwide wherever our services are needed.
